Classroom Rules and Procedures: Here are some things you will need to know. Remember: Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose wisely.
Classroom Etiquette
- Be respectful and be responsible.
- Be on task.
- Be on time. Be in your seat when the last bell rings, prepared to work. Remain in your seat until you are dismissed. Remember: I dismiss you, not the bell.
- If you arrive late (1) sign in on the Tardy List posted by the door and (2) stand quietly near the door until you are told to be seated.
- When I am speaking it is my turn to talk, your turn to listen. This means hands off the keyboad, hands off the mouse, and eyes on me.
- If you don't want to follow classroom instruction, that's your choice, but don't ask for or expect help.
- If you choose to ditch my class (i.e. unexcused absence) , that's your choice, but don't ask for or expect help.
- Excuses don't excuse. Take initiative and be a problem solver.
- Clean-up after yourself. Before you leave make sure that you pick-up and properly dispose of cups, papers, etc. on the computer table at your station.
- Be respectful and cooperative with all guests in our classroom. This applies particularly to guest teachers (subs).
Important Things to Remember
- Printers are located in the front to the classroom by the windows. BusLab125BW is the black and white printer. BusLabColor is the color printer.
- The service table is located by the door.
- Any hardcopy that you are turning in to me must go in the class "in-box" on the service table.
- Extra hardcopy items are located in the file box on the service table.
- Ice water is available at the service table. Feel free to help yourself but not while instruction is happening.
- Food is not allowed at any time.
- Textbooks are located in the book cases on the west wall or on the book cart in the front of the room.
- Class files are located in the cabinets in the back of the room. You will find a folder with your name on it. All hardcopy returned to you will be placed in that folder. You may keep any classwork you wish to secure in that folder. Remember: it is your responsibility to check this folder regularly.
