Welcome to Mr. Clayton's Cyber Classroom!

The mission of the Business Academy at West High School is to provide students with a solid understanding of how business functions in the American free enterprise system and how emerging technologies are defining business in the 21st century. Working in a project-based, community-based environment, students will learn the technical, business, and leadership skills necessary to be competitive in post-secondary studies and career.

On this site you will find all of the information you'll need relating to the classes I teach at Denver West High School. My classes are project-based, collaborative learning experiences that stress the technical skills, leadership skills, and workplace skills necessary to be competitive in post-secondary and career endevours.

As a student you will be expected to assume responsibility for your education. The objectives of my classes are:

To prepare you academically for success in post-secondary studies.
To teach content skills and how apply them in business situations.
To teach leadership skills by participating in the Future Business Leaders of America.
To teach workplace skills that will facilitate the transition from school to career.

You will demonstrate your competency by building a portfolio of your work.
